FRED JOHNSON

Graduated in 1967...NCAA College Division individual national champion at 191 pounds in 1966 - first ever individual national champion in Augustana history...Three time NCAA All-American in 1964 (4th at 177), 1966 (1st at 191) and 1967 (4th at 191)...CCIW champion in 1964 at heavyweight and 1967 at 191...CCIW team champions 1963, 1964, 1965, 1967...Team was 13th in NCAA in 1965 and fifth in 1966... Finished career with 70-10-11 lifetime record...Team MVP as a freshman and co-MVP as senior...Won All-Lutheran Invitational in 1963, 1966 & 1967...Won Wheaton Invitational in 1963, 1966 & 1967...FOOTBALL...Lettered in 1962, 63, 65, 66...All-CCIW selection in 1966...CCIW team champions in 1966 with a record of 5-1-0...team captain 1966...Inducted into Augustana's athletic "Hall of Fame" in 2002.

 

CHRIS CASEY

Graduated in 1984...NCAA Division III individual national champion in 1983 & 1984...Three time All-American (third at 158 in 1982...first at 158 pounds in 1983...first at 167 pounds in 1984)...Finished his career with a 153-24-1 which is second on the school's all-time list...Four time CCIW champion (1981 - 158...1982 - 158...1983 - 158...1984 - 167)...Helped team win CCIW titles in 1982, 1983 & 1984...At NCAA Division III national tournament his team placed fifth in 1982, fifth in 1983 and sixth in 1984...Inducted in National Wrestling Coaches Association "Hall of Fame" in 1991...In 1981-82 he won the following tournaments: Olivet, Cornell, All-Lutheran and Wheaton...He won the Wartburg, Olivet, Cornell, All-Lutheran and Wheaton tournaments in 1982-83...1983-84 won Cornell, Wartburg, Olivet, Cornell, All-Lutheran and Wheaton tournaments.
