DESCRIPTION:Lucas Street\, director of the Reading/Writing Center at Augustana\, will discuss "Gilead" by Marilynne Robinson.\n\nThis year’s Frieze Lecture Series theme is “Best. Book. Ever.”&nbsp\;Each lecturer has chosen a work from The Greatest Books (an amalgam of 129 “Best Books” lists)\, and will make the case for their selected work.\n\nThis is the last of four lectures in the series\,&nbsp\;a 24-year partnership between the Rock Island Public Library and Augustana College to present four talks in the fall.&nbsp\;Lectures are from 2-3 p.m. Tuesdays&nbsp\;at the Rock Island Main Library\, 401 19th St.\, Community Room.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\nThe lectures will be presented in-person or can viewed as video recordings later.&nbsp\;The in-person audience is limited to 25\, and registration is required.&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n
