DESCRIPTION:Students\,&nbsp\;faculty and guests will conduct a panel discussion on the humanitarian crisis caused by the ongoing civil war in&nbsp\;Ethiopia.\n\nSpeakers will include&nbsp\;Dr. Umme Al-Wazedi and Dr. John&nbsp\;Tawiah-Boateng\, Augustana associate professors of English\;&nbsp\;Petros Shumie and Daniel Woldu from&nbsp\;Omna Tigray\, a group which advocates for the end of the war\; and&nbsp\;Tekste Gebreselasse\, representing the&nbsp\;Tegaru community in Chicago.\n\nStudent panelists will include&nbsp\;Mulualem Hailom and Shenela Ranaraja from Augustana\; Meron Kiros\, Lakehead University\; and Eden Gebremariam\, George Washington University.\n\nThe panel is sponsored by the Office of International Student and Scholar Services\, and is expected to conclude at 6 p.m.\n
