DESCRIPTION:The Over the Levee\, Under the Plow&nbsp\;traveling seminar will conclude with Sovereign Foods and Languages.\n\nThe program will include&nbsp\;short presentations about the Meskwaki Food Sovereignty Initiative\, Meskwaki Language Preservation\, Meskwaki Historic Preservation\, Seeding Sovereignty\, Chi-Nations Youth Council\, Native American Coalition of the Quad Cities\, and Sage Sisters of Solidarity.\n\nAfter the presentations\, Jacki Rand\, associate professor of history at University of Iowa and citizen of the Choctaw Nation\, will moderate a discussion.\n\nAt 3:30 p.m.\, Clint Carroll (Cherokee) will give a talk addressing the challenges that Indigenous Nations face regarding the interrelated processes of cultural knowledge revitalization and environmental adaptation. He is&nbsp\;associate professor of Native American and Indigenous Studies at the University of Colorado\, Boulder.\n\nAt 5 p.m.\, there will be a closing ceremony&nbsp\;with Regina Tsosie and Josie Ironshield\, Native American Coalition of the Quad Cities\, and Sage Sisters of Solidarity.\n
