DESCRIPTION:Dr. Jason Mahn\, associate professor of religion at Augustana\, will speak on the intellectual legacy of the Reformation. His is the first talk in the annual Frieze Lectures series. This year's lecture series will examine the Reformation\, as it is the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.\n\nOthers speakers will be:\n\nOct. 31: Dr. Carolyn Yaschur\, assistant professor of communication studies:\, "The Reformation of Communications\, Journalism\, and Information Access"\n\nNov. 7: Dr. Hyeong-Gyu Choi\, assistant professor of business administration\, "The Reformation of Privacy"\n\nNov. 14\, Dr. Josh Dyer\, assistant professor of physics:\, "The Reformation and Its Impact on Science and Technology"\n\nFor 19 years\, Augustana faculty have partnered with the library in presenting the Frieze Lectures series. The series takes its name form the ornamental frieze that tops Rock Island's library building\, engraved with names of writers thought to be canonical when it opened in 1903.\n
