The Minnesota Historical Society Press just published the book Norwegians and Swedes in the United States: Friends and Neighbors, edited by Philip J. Anderson and Dag Blanck. It is based on the 2007 conference at the Swenson Center with the same name, and is the first systematic effort to discuss the interaction and relationships between the two largest Scandinavian immigrant groups in the United States. The book includes 17 chapters, in which scholars from Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the United States explore a variety of topics of Norwegian-Swedish relations.
