New Kingdom Trailriders (NKT) is a non-profit founded by Christian horse owners committed to helping people with disabilities. The therapeutic horseback riding program known as "Mounted Achievers" provides an alternative type of physical therapy and rehabilitation to the mentally and physically handicapped of the Greater Quad City area and surrounding communities.
Besides working in the arena with the horses and riders, other volunteer opportunities include horse care, stable maintenance and special event assistance. Volunteer training provides an individual with the skills and confidence to successfully participate in the Mounted Achiever's program.

Volunteers are a vital asset to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center.  Volunteer Opportnuties include:  Adminstrative, Fundraising, Mobile Pet Adoptions, Nursing home visits, Fostering, Socializing with cats, Dog walking, Clinic and surgical assisting, Educatoin, and Special Events
