Class of 1964 — 50th reunion

50th Reunion Gift

We made it! — $2,170,654

Why I give

"We support Augustana College for three reasons. First, and most importantly, we believe that an education provided by a strong liberal arts college is an important option in higher education, and we believe Augustana continues to be an outstanding and cost-effective educational institution. Secondly, we both believe that the education we received at Augie contributed directly to the success we enjoyed in graduate school and in our careers. Finally, we contribute to Augie because the life-long relationships we established during our time at Augie continue to enrich the quality of our lives."

Why I Attend Reunions

"During the Winter Olympics, a commentator remarked, “Skiing must be in her DNA.” Well, Augustana is in my DNA! While it is true that both of my parents went to Augie, there is much more to it than that. Augustana provided me with a foundation for the rest of my life. It’s not just where I discovered Biology, but where I learned important lessons about communicating ideas and solving problems. It’s where I formed cherished, life-long friendships – and where I met my Esther. Frankly, it is where I learned so much about who I am. That’s why Esther and I have attended Augie reunions, why we’ll celebrate our 50th at Homecoming this fall and why we support the College financially."
