Augustana College values the financial support offered by alumni and other friends of the college and is proud to recognize and thank these donors through the college's gift clubs and societies.
We greatly appreciate the thousands of alumni, parents and other friends who chose to support the college with their philanthropic giving during the July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011 fiscal year. 2011-12 Gift Club Levels
Membership in annual gift clubs is based on the total amount of gifts received from a donor during the college's fiscal year, July 1 - June 30. Gifts to WVIK-Augustana Public Radio, Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center and matching gifts are included with personal gifts when considering gift club recognition levels.
Society of 1860 recognizes donors whose cumulative lifetime giving, to any designation, achieves the level of $250,000 and above. Society of 1860-In Memoriam honors donors whose cumulative lifetime giving and/or donors whose estate gifts after their passing, to any designation, achieve the level of $250,000 and above.
The Presidents Society recognizes total annual giving, to all designations (including WVIK-Augustana Public Radio, Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center and soft credit for corporate matching gifts), of $1,000 and above. To link the shared vision of Augustana's past presidents with our most generous benefactors, The Presidents Society circles are named in honor of our late presidents in the order of their service to the College. Throughout the year members receive communications from President Steven C. Bahls and invitations to events exclusive to members. The Presidents Society circles are ordered:
C.W. Sorensen Circle: $50,000+
Conrad Bergendoff Circle: $25,000-$49,999
Gustav Andreen Circle: $10,000-$24,999
Olof Olsson Circle: $5,000-$9,999
T.N. Hasselquist Circle: $2,500-$4,999
Lars Esbjorn Circle: $1,000-$2,499
The new Augustana Fund Leaders premiere giving society recognizes total annual unrestricted giving to The Augustana Fund, the college's annual fund. Gift totals include soft credit for corporate matching gifts. Augustana Fund Leaders circles are ordered:
Wallenberg Circle: $25,000+
Seminary Circle: $10,000-$24,999
Carlsson Circle: $5,000-$9,999
Denkmann Circle: $2,500-$4,999
Old Main Circle: $1,000-$2,499
Additional Giving Levels to The Augustana Fund:
Bell Tower Society: $500-$999
Blue and Gold Club: $250-$499
Century Club: $100-$249
Partners: $1-$99
Recognition in Additional Giving Levels (Bell Tower, Blue and Gold, Century Club and Partners) are attained only through gifts to The Augustana Fund. Giving under $1,000 to endowed funds, restricted purpose, departments or programs will be acknowledged outside of annual fund giving circle recognition.
Augustana Founders are individuals who have chosen to benefit the college through their estate plans or other planned giving arrangements. Members receive an invitation to an annual luncheon and are recognized in the Founders Honor Roll publication. To join Augustana Founders, please indicate here.
