Recognition

Augustana College values the financial support offered by alumni and other friends of the college and is proud to recognize and thank these donors through the college's gift clubs and societies. We greatly appreciate the thousands of alumni, parents and other friends who chose to support the college with their philanthropic giving during the each fiscal year. 2013-14 Recognition Giving Society Levels

Membership in annual gift clubs is based on the total amount of gifts received from a donor during the college's fiscal year, July 1 - June 30. Gifts to WVIK-Augustana Public Radio, Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center and matching gifts are included with personal gifts when considering gift club recognition levels. Beginning July 1, 2013, Augustana's recognition giving society levels are as follows:

Society of 1860

Society of 1860 recognizes donors whose cumulative lifetime giving, to any designation, achieves the level of $250,000 and above. Society of 1860-In Memoriam honors donors whose cumulative lifetime giving and/or donors whose estate gifts after their passing, to any designation, achieve the level of $250,000 and above.

Old Main Society

Augustana announces the renaming of the annual fund giving society to the Old Main Society, beginning July 1, 2013. Formerly known as Augustana Fund Leaders, the Old Main Society will recognize generous college donors who make annual unrestricted gifts of $1,000 or more to The Augustana Fund, the college's annual fund. In addition to the new name for the Old Main Society, new names and benefits have been given to the six giving levels within the Society (see below). Members of the Old Main Society will also be members of The Presidents Society, which continues to recognize annual cumulative giving to any designation at $1,000 and above but will no longer include graduated giving levels. Old Main Society giving levels and benefits are as follows:

Associate Bronze Membership ($500 to $999)
Open to all Augustana alumni who have graduated in the last ten years
All benefits of the Bronze Circle

Bronze Circle ($1,000 to $2,499)
2 complimentary tickets to The Presidents Society Annual Recognition Event
Membership card providing free home game athletics pass and 10% off in the college bookstore

Silver Circle ($2,500 to $4,999)
All the lower benefits, plus:
Invitation to sign up for a campus library card
Invitation to Spring Event in Chicagoland

Gold Circle ($5,000 to $9,999)
All the lower benefits, plus:
Invitation for private campus tour and lunch in the Center for Student Life

Platinum Circle ($10,000 to $24,999)
All the lower benefits, plus:
6 (total) tickets to any campus ticketed college performing art event(s) throughout the year

Diamond Circle ($25,000 +)
All the lower benefits, plus:
Private dinner at the Dahl President's Home with Steve and Jane Bahls

The Presidents Society

The Presidents Society recognizes total cumulative annual giving, to all designations (including WVIK-Augustana Public Radio, Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center and soft credit for corporate matching gifts), of $1,000 and above. Throughout the year members receive communications from President Steven C. Bahls and invitations to events exclusive to members, including the annual Recognition Dinner and Concert during the holiday season and the Homecoming Picnic.

Augustana Founders

Augustana Founders are individuals who have chosen to benefit the college through their estate plans or other planned giving arrangements. Members receive an invitation to an annual luncheon and are recognized in the Founders Honor Roll publication. To join Augustana Founders, please indicate here.
