The resources below are to help you find an excellent internship opportunity.

  • ISCPA - click on "On-line Career Center" and then on ' Students and Alumni.' Create an account, complete your profile and then search for internships.
  • Career Search Database - You may use this database to look up companies that match your areas of interest and geographical preferences. Create a username and password - Call the Career Center to get a Client Referral Code (309.794.7339).
  • Vault - Vault is one of the best resources when it comes to research various industries, career paths, etc.
  • Internships.com - This is a database that houses over 7500 internships. Click on "students enter here" and find Augustana College in the drop down menu. You will need the Promo Code: ac123 in order to register.
  • AlumNet - use this database to look up alumni with a similar major or within a certain field in which you are interested.

What kind of experience are you hoping to gain? Do you want a paid internship or would you be willing to volunteer? Does your internship have to be in your major or can you look at other possibilities? Consider these questions before you start hunting!

Additionally, networking is a great way to get your foot in the door with organizations. Make a list of all the people you know that are currently working in a field or organization of interest to you. Contact these people and let them know that you are seeking a specific internship experience. Most importantly, follow-up with your contacts and thank them for their assistance in your search.
