SNL Comic Seth Meyers comes to Augustana March 29
In the midst of his seventh season on "Saturday Night Live" and second season as a head writer, Seth Meyers will be stopping by Augustana to share his wit and humor as part of the CUBOM event on Saturday, March 29, at 8 p.m. in Centennial Hall, located at 3703 7th Avenue, Rock Island, Ill.
While you'll recognize Seth from his role as co-anchor of "Weekend Update," alongside Amy Poehler, Meyers has other recurring roles as Jonathan Feinstein, a disc jockey appearing in the webcast "Jarret's Room." Meyers also performs impressions of Russell Crowe, Richard Dawson, Hugh Grant, Tobey Maquire, Ewan McGregor, Richard B. Myers, Stone Phillips, and Brian Williams, and his television credits include a guest spot on "Spin City."
Prior to "SNL," Meyers was a member of the improv/sketch comedy group Boom Chicago Theatre, where he performed in Chicago, London, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, and Singapore. While with Boom, Meyers created the popular two-person sketch-improv show "Pick-ups & Hiccups" with Jill Benjamin. Seth Meyers was born December 28, 1973 in Bedford, New Hampshire. He joined "Saturday Night Live" on September 29, 2001 as a featured player.
