NCAA Indoor Track & Field

ADA, Ohio Three Augustana athletes earned All-American honors at the NCAA Division III indoor track & field championships on Saturday, March 15 at Ohio Nothern University in Ada, Ohio.

 

Junior Ted McMillan (Erie HS, Cordova, Ill.) placed fifth in the high jump with a clearance of 6’ 8 ¾”. He is the defending national champion in the outdoor high jump. He also won the 400 intermediate hurdles outdoors as a sophomore.

 

Sophomore Marissa Banks (Ames HS, Ames, Iowa) placed third in the shot put with a toss of 44’ 11 ½”. Banks did not compete indoors last year but she earned All-American honors in both the shot and discus in the outdoor national meet.

 

Junior Keli Coleman (Carmel HS, Grayslake, Ill.) was an indoor All-American as a freshman and she reclaimed that honor this year with a fifth place finish in a time of :07.18.

 

John Thompson (Hall Township HS, Ladd, Ill.) did not clear a height in the pole vault and Liz Driscoll (Lyons Township HS, LaGrange, Ill.) ran 5:09.34 in her heat of the mile and failed to advance.
