Transitional Living Areas

Augustana's TLA houses and apartments are available to third year students only, with the possibility of limited offerings to seniors based on availability.  TLA offers a variety of housing options, all designed to promote readiness for independent living. There are 38 house communities and 14 suite-style apartment buildings available. The Southwest wing of Swanson Commons is also home to TLA style apartments. Students residing in these houses have access to kitchen facilities and can choose whether or not to purchase a college meal plan. Internet and cable TV are available and TLA areas receive limited custodial services to assist in the transition to off-campus living.

Who can live here: Third year students.

Room dimensions: The 2008-2009 TLA Housing Pamphlet and room dimensions can be found by visiting the Res Life page on Augustana's CampusNet (login required) or by visiting the Office of Residential Life.  All dimensions are approximate and some house/apartment diagrams are not available.  If you have questions about a specific room, please contact our office.
