Academic Affairs

Academic Affairs at Augustana College houses the dean and associate deans of the college as well as the Academic Affairs Office, who are responsible for all of the college academic programs.

This group works hard to develop, improve and maintain the Augustana programs that challenge and nurture our students' minds and characters. These programs encourage collaboration between our students and our faculty, which pushes our faculty to find new and unique ways to spark learning and helps our students to make decisions about their futures based on real-world experiences.

Programs that creatively contribute to the well-rounded development of our students, include our international study program, which sends students and faculty to various locations in Europe, East Asia, Latin America, Ghana, India and Australia.  Another outstanding program coordinated by Academic Affairs is our Center for Vocational Reflection (CVR), which integrates with academics and other student service offices to help our students make informed, thoughtful decisions about their future paths. CVR received a $500,000 renewal grant in 2006 to continue its already successful efforts.

In addition to program development, Academic Affairs facilitates and encourages continued faculty development through research and collaboration.
