Commencement 2014 in words, photos, videos

May  26, 2014

After congratulating the Class of 2014 at commencement on Sunday, Augustana President Steve Bahls asked graduates to use their education well.

"May you continue to take the road less traveled, and trust that it will make all the difference in the world. Use your education to discern what is true and what is good. Do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God. But most of all, continue building on your experiences here for a purposeful life, well-lived." (See full text)

Graduates also were addressed by Rep. Cheri Bustos, D-Rock Island, and Carlisle Evans Peck of the graduating class. Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees were bestowed on Rep. Bustos and Robert Ontiveros, member of the Board of Trustees and founder of Group O.
