Two professors Quinn exhibit work in ceramics, painting

Two local art professors, Megan Quinn of Augustana College and Kristin Quinn of St. Ambrose University, will show their recent work in the exhibit "Tales from Root Boy and Blossom Dearie" Nov. 4-Dec. 13 in the ArtSpace Gallery at Black Hawk College, Moline.
An opening reception will be held from 4-6 p.m. Nov. 5 in the gallery in Building 4, 6600 34th Ave.
Megan Quinn, who works in ceramics, is a professor of art at Augustana. She holds a master of fine arts in ceramics from the University of Notre Dame, and a bachelor's degree in crafts from the University of Maryland, College Park. She has taught at Augustana since 1980 and has chaired the department twice.
Kristin Quinn, a painter, is the current chair of the St. Ambrose University art department. She has been a professor of art at SAU since 1989. She holds a master of fine arts degree from Indiana University-Bloomington, and a bachelor's degree from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia.
The gallery is open from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by arrangement.
