Illinois Monetary Award Program
Award range is $300-$4,968. Awarded based on financial need as determined by the FAFSA. Maximum award for 2007-2008 is $4,968
Silas Purnell Illinois Incentive for Access Program (IIA)
Awarded based on FAFSA results. First-year students may be eligible to receive up to $500.
Federal Pell Grant
Amount varies by year. Awarded based on financial need as determined by the FAFSA. Award range for 2007-2008 is $400-$4,310.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
Generally $100-$2,000 (maximum award of $4,000). Based on financial need as determined by the FAFSA.
National SMART Grant
Up to $4000. Available during the third and fourth years of undergraduate study to full-time students who are eligible for the Federal Pell Grant and who are majoring in physical, life, or computer sciences, mathematics, technology, or engineering or in a foreign language determined critical to national security.
Academic Competitiveness Grant
Up to $750 for the first year of undergraduate study and up to $1,300 for the second year of undergraduate study to full-time students who are eligible for a Federal Pell Grant and who had successfully completed a rigorous high school program, as determined by the state or local education agency and recognized by the Secretary of Education. Second year students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0.
Family Allowance Grant
Award amount is $3,000. Students from families that have two or more children enrolled full-time at Augustana are given a $3000 family allowance in their financial assistance package. A student receiving $3000 or more in gift assistance from any other source (state, federal or Augustana aid programs) are not eligible for this award. The grant is not available for enrolled married couples or in the case of a parent and child enrolled at the same time. Students who have completed a degree program or have completed twelve terms of attendance are not eligible for this grant.
