KENOSHA, Wis. & STEVENS POINT, Wis. - In the final weekend before the NCAA Division III national meet, several members of the Augustana women's track & field team competed in a pair of "last chance" qualifying meets. Junior Liana Beauchamp (Genoa-Kingston HS, Kingston, Ill.) made the biggest splash for the Vikings by breaking her own school record in the weight throw.
Beauchamp finished second in the 20 pound weight throw at the Gill Athletics Final Qualifier on Friday, March 1 in Kenosha, Wisconsin with a toss of 53' 10" (16.41 meters). She broke her own school record of 53' 9 ¼" set just one week earlier at the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin championship, which was also held in Kenosha.
