Myers a double champion for the third straight year

Augustana junior Helen Myers claimed CCIW titles at one and three meters Saturday at the CCIW Diving Championships in Bloomington, Illinois. This is the third consecutive year Myers has claimed both championships.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- For the third straight year, Augustana junior Helen Myers (Pecatonica HS, Rock City, Ill.) has claimed both the one and three-meter diving competitions at the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Championships. Myers compiled 380.20 points in the one-meter event Saturday at Illinois Wesleyan to beat out freshman teammate Adelia Clark (Linn-Mar HS, Marion, Ill.), who took second with 329.30.

Myers took the three-meter competition with 370.4 points, well ahead of second-place Nicole Richardson of Rose-Hulman (309.25). Clark finished fifth with 261.30.  

Another Viking freshman, Megan McGregor (Lincoln-Way East HS, Mokena, Ill.), finished sixth in both events. She tallied 244.45 points in at one meter and 234.50 at three meters.  

On Thursday, February 14, coach Scott Johannsen's squad will be competing at the CCIW Swimming Championships in Wheaton, Illinois.
