Cultural Diversity Award Essay

Augustana College values a diverse community, which includes, among other factors, considerations of race/ethnicity, social and/or economic status, and cultural background. With this in mind, we are looking for an essay that will helps us get to know you better as a person and as a student. Please write an essay on one of the options listed below.

  1. Describe programs, activities, experiences, or events in which you have been involved that clearly demonstrate your commitment to diversity and explain in detail your role in these endeavors.
  2. Explain how your selection as a Cultural Diversity Award recipient will enhance the diversity at Augustana College.

The essay questions invite you to provide a personal picture of yourself in your own words. Essay responses should be 250 to 500 words in length.
