Student Athlete Profile
Keli Coleman '09
Biology and Pre-Medicine Major
Star sprinter Keli Coleman goes above and beyond in her work on the track, in the classroom, and in the community. With national qualifying times of :7.15 in the 55, breaking school records in the 200 with a time of :26.14, and earning multiple conference championships throughout, Coleman is vested in leading her teammates by example and trying her best to exceed.
While she is pressed when it comes to balancing school and volunteer projects, as well as her commitments to other Augustana organizations, Coleman is no stranger to prioritizing in order to participate in all the activities she finds important. As a member of the Black Student Union and one of the top volunteers in Athletes Giving Back, she demonstrates the upstanding values found within the Augustana community.
Coleman is personally rewarded in her additional work caring for senior citizens in a nursing home as a summer job. As she offers one-on-one support and compassion, Coleman enjoys making a difference in the lives of her patients while also getting valuable experience in the healthcare field, as she dreams of one day becoming a pediatrician.
