Are you where you thought you’d be four years ago?
My college experience has far surpassed what I had expected. I came to Augustana not sure of my future. At Augie, I’ve developed a strong circle of friends, traveled overseas and have been accepted into graduate schools across the country. I couldn't ask for a better college experience.
Who helped you get to where you are now?
I owe a lot of thanks to my family and friends for their constant support and encouragement. The CSD faculty also helped me immensely to get to where I am now. They were always supportive, approachable and a constant source of knowledge and wisdom.
A peak experience?
One of my peak experiences here at Augie was joining a sorority. Being part of a sorority has been extremely rewarding as I have developed strong friendships that I know will stay with me long after I leave Augustana.
What did you learn about yourself in these past four years that surprised you?
I learned that I can accomplish much more than I ever thought possible. If you surround yourself with positive people, work hard and take advantage of the opportunities that you are presented with, the possibilities are truly endless.
Advice for this fall’s incoming class (Class of 2016)?
Take advantage of all that Augustana has to offer. Get involved, travel overseas, but most of all enjoy Augie! The time here goes by too fast.
