2012 Season - Juhl named "Hitter of the Week" in the CCIW

Augustana junior shortstop Jeremy Juhl (Glenbard East HS, Lombard, Ill.) has been named the "Hitter of the Week" in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin for the second time this season. Juhl was an instrumental part to a successful week for the Vikings.
For the week, Juhl batted .444 with 8 hits in 18 at-bats as Augustana compiled a 3-1 record for the week and moving its overall record to 24-12 on the season. He scored five runs, drove in two more runs, and drew two walks on the week.
The Vikings opened the week with an 11-5 nonconference win over Grinnell on April 25. In that game, Juhl tallied three hits in his four at-bats in addition to scoring two runs, driving in one run, and drawing a walk. In game one of a double header with conference rival Illinois Wesleyan on April 28, he recorded a three for six performance with two runs scored in a 9-5 victory. The Vikings won game two of the double header 4-3, as Juhl went two for four with a run scored.
Juhl currently ranks third on the team in batting with a .369 average. He leads the Vikings in at-bats (149), hits (55), and runs (37).
Juhl, a business administration major, is the son of Colleen and Brian Kramer and Bruce Juhl, all of Lombard, Illinois.
