She romped to victory in the 5000 at the Wartburg Select on Friday, April 6 in Waverly, Iowa with a time of 17:24.27. Back on March 24, Jones broke the school record in the 3000 with a winning time of 9:58.95 at the Viking Open at Paul V. Olsen Track. That took down the former school mark of 10:02.85 set by Viking All-American Susan Paige back in 1998. She was named the "Athlete of the Week" in the CCIW after that performance as well.
So far this season Jones also has Augustana's best performance in the 1500 with a time of 4:41.42, which she turned in at the Viking Open on March 24. She also anchored the distance medley to a season's best time of 12:24.79 at the Viking Olympics on March 30.

She also anchored the Vikings distance medley relay to victory in a school record time of 12:13.73, and finished third in the mile in 5:01.
She has been a two time place winner in the 800 at the CCIW outdoor championship meet during the first two years of her career at Augustana. This past winter she won "Runner of the Week" honors on January 24 from the CCIW. She was also honored by the league as a recipient of the Jack Swartz Award for her combination of athletic prowess and academic excellence in both the fall and winter seasons.
