Augustana College is pleased to welcome Christopher Seyfarth as a member of the Augustana Board of Trustees. Seyfarth will serve a four-year term ending in 2016.
Seyfarth, a 1980 graduate of Augustana, is a transaction real estate partner for Ernst & Young in San Francisco. In his role, Seyfarth leads Ernst & Young’s transaction advisory real estate professionals in the Pacific Northwest. A partner since 1991, Seyfarth has focused on the distressed debt markets in China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Germany and other European countries, working for both sellers and investors providing advisory, due diligence, valuation, modeling and other transaction advisory services.
He holds a B.A. in accounting and business administration from Augustana, is a certified public accountant and serves as a guest lecturer at Harvard University.
Augustana President Steve Bahls looks forward to the leadership experience and fresh perspectives that Seyfarth will bring to the Augustana Board of Trustees. “Chris Seyfarth’s work with Ernst & Young in both domestic and international markets has given him great financial acumen coupled with a global perspective, representing a tremendous asset to our Board of Trustees,” Bahls said.
“Having served as a guest lecturer at Harvard and as an adjunct faculty member at Boston College, Chris has insight into the modern campus setting as well as the challenges facing higher education,” Bahls noted. “I’m grateful that all of these considerable assets are joined by Chris’s fondness for his alma mater and a desire to see Augustana continue to prosper in the years ahead.”
