2011-12 Season - Vikings now ranked for 25 straight weeks

Senior Bryant Voiles heads back into the locker room after the Vikings' 80-78 overtime victory over then 24th ranked Illinois Wesleyan on Tuesday, January 31. Augustana is currently ranked 20th in NCAA Division III and the Vikings have been in the national top 25 for 25 straight weeks.

Augustana checks in at 20 th in the most recent NCAA Division III men’s basketball poll, which is conducted by D3hoops.com. The Vikings defeated then number 24 Illinois Wesleyan 80-78 on Tuesday, January 31 but dropped a hard-fought 43-41 decision at College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin leader North Central on Saturday, February 4 in Naperville, Illinois.

Grey Giovanine’s Vikings are now 16-5 overall and 6-4 in league play. They garnered 108 points this week and slid five spots in the poll, from 15 th to 20 th. Augustana has now been ranked in the top 25 of the D3hoops.com national poll for 25 straight weeks, dating back to the first week of the 2010-11 season. The Vikings are at North Park on Tuesday, February 7 and then come home to face Elmhurst on Saturday, February 11 in a “Senior Night” contest.
