2011-12 Season - Men's Basketball jumps to 15th in NCAA poll

Four straight victories helped to push Augustana into 15 th in the latest NCAA Division III men’s basketball poll, which was released today. The Vikings, who were 20 th a week ago in the D3hoops.com poll with 136 points, jumped five spots to 15 th in 267 points.
Last week Augustana defeated #23 Wheaton by a score of 70-46 on Tuesday, January 23 and then swamped Millikin 98-28 on Saturday, January 28. The Vikings are now 15-4 overall and 5-3 in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin.
Augustana has been ranked in the top 20 all year, even spending one week in the top spot. The Vikings will host 24 th Illinois Wesleyan on Tuesday, January 30 and then travel to league leading North Central on Saturday, February 4.
