2011-12 Season - Vikings stay in top 20

Despite three straight losses, the Augustana Vikings remain in the top 20 in the NCAA Division III men’s basketball poll according to D3hoops.com. Veteran head coach Grey Giovanine’s team is currently 11-4 overall heading into a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin home game against North Park on Tuesday, January 17.
The Vikings were sixth a week ago but lost a pair of games last week on the road. They fell at Illinois Wesleyan by a score of 73-63 on January 10 and then were beaten at the buzzer on January 14 at Elmhurst by a count of 56-55. The three-game slide began with a 67-62 home loss to North Central on January 7.
Middlebury continues to hold onto the top spot with a 14-0 record and 622 points.
