2011-12 Season - Vikings third in final NCAA poll of 2011

With the final non-conference game of the 2011-12 season set for tonight, Augustana will head into the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin portion of the schedule ranked third in NCAA Division III. The Vikings are currently 9-1 overall with a 7:30 p.m. battle set for tonight in the Carver Center against MacMurray.
Middlebury is currently the top-ranked team in the D3hoops.com poll with a 7-0 overall record and 624 points, including 24 of 25 first place votes. Virginia Wesleyan (7-1) is second with 570 points and the other first-place vote. Augustana checks in with 568 points. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (12-0) is fourth with 523 points while Emory (8-0) rounds out the top five with 499 points.
