![]() |
| Kameron Norton and the Augustana Vikings are currently ranked third in the latest NCAA Division III men's basketball poll. |
A pair of wins last week, including a 69-64 victory over then-21st ranked Wisconsin-Stevens Point, has bumped coach Grey Giovanine’s Augustana Vikings up one spot to third in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25. The Vikings moved up after Amherst, previously ranked second, suffered a 76-61 setback at Brandeis last Saturday.
Middlebury (7-0) remained in the number one spot with 624 total points and 24 of 25 first-place votes. Virginia Wesleyan (6-1), ranked first in the preseason poll, received the other first-place nod and edged Augustana (7-1) out for number two with 560 points. The third-ranked Vikings totaled 556. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (11-0) and Emory (8-0), respectively, rounded out the top five.
