ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Augustana midfielder Taylor Moesle (Carl Sandburg, Orland Park, Ill.) and goalie Kayla Radloff (West Chicago HS, West Chicago, Ill.) have been selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin’s offensive and defensive “Players of the Week” respectively. Augustana went 2-0-0 this past week with victories over Knox and North Park.
Moesle, a junior, led the offensive attack last week for the Vikings. In the game against Knox on October 12, she tallied one goal and assisted on another on the way to a 9-0 win for Augustana. Three days later, she netted two goals in a 3-0 shutout of CCIW opponent North Park. On the season, Moesle now has six goals and eight assists for a team high 20 points.
Radloff, a senior, was a wall defensively last week for the Vikings. She was in goal for both of Augustana’s shutouts last week. She only played the first half against Knox but played the full game against North Park. She recorded three saves against North Park and picked up the victory in both games. Last week’s victories pushed Radloff’s season record to 8-4-1 with five shutouts. She has only allowed 10 goals on the year and has made 62 saves.
Moesle, a communications major, is the daughter of Michael and Lynn Moesle of Orland Park, Illinois. Radloff, a history and secondary education major, is the daughter of Earl and Janet Radloff of West Chicago, Illinois. The Vikings, who are currently 10-4-1 overall and 3-0 in CCIW play, will battle Wheaton and Illinois Wesleyan in crucial CCIW contests this week.
