2011 Season - Viking women remain ninth in NSCAA rankings

Kelly Johnson and her Augustana teammates maintained the number nine spot in this week's NSCAA Central Region rankings.

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - After a win at Milwaukee School of Engineering and a tie versus Simpson last week, coach Scott Mejia's women's soccer team maintained its number nine spot in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA Division III Central Region rankings released Tuesday. The Vikings are 5-2-1 on the year heading into a stiff road test at Loras-6-2 and ranked fifth in the North Region-on Wednesday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m.

 Augustana's CCIW rival Wheaton is 8-0-0 this season and holds down the top spot in the Central Region. Another CCIW club, Illinois Wesleyan, is ranked second at 7-1-1. Washington University (7-1-0) is third, followed by the University of Chicago (5-2-0), Alma (8-1-0), Aurora (7-3-0), Principia (5-3-1), Hope (5-2-0), Augustana and Adrian (5-3-0).
