Vikings finish season ranked 28thWith the completion of the 2010 outdoor track and field season, the Augustana women find themselves ranked 28th in the NCAA Division III dual meet national power rankings. The Vikings of veteran head coach Fred Whiteside finished with 161.63 points. | |
Walsh & Hottle share MVP awardA pair of juniors, Hannah Hottle and Amy Walsh shared the Most Valuable Performer award for the 2010 Augustana women’s track & field team. Hottle was a middle distance runner while Walsh handled the hurdle events for the Vikings. | |
Vikings record five season bestsAugustana wasn't able to add any NCAA qualifiers, but did record five season bests at Friday's Twilight qualifier at Ericson Field. Angela Pisani won the 1500, Amy Walsh equaled her best in the 100-meter hurdles and set a new best in the 400 hurdles. Ainsley Fedler beat her own best in the 200 and the Viking also posted a new top time in the 4x100 relay. |
