2010-11 Season - Vikings finish No. 14 in Central Region

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its final set of rankings for the 2010-11 season and the Augustana women’s tennis team was ranked No. 14 in the poll for the Central Region. The Vikings, under fifth year head coach Adam Strand, finished the season with a record of 20-9 overall, breaking the school record for victories in a single season.
Augustana’s biggest win of the year came on April 10 when the Vikings defeated Grinnell, who finished No. 15 in the poll. The Vikings also defeated Carthage for the second time this season to advance to the CCIW Automatic Qualifier Championship Match before falling to No. 7 Wheaton.
