What about anti-virus for my computer?
Augustana College offers Symantic Anti-Virus at no charge for all students. The students are not required to install Symantic anti-virus, but they are strongly encouraged to have some type of anti-virus installed for the safety of their computer and the Augustana network. How can I safeguard my computer?
Do not leave your notebook computer unattended. One suggestion would be to purchase a notebook cable lock. They are not a failsafe, but are a definite deterrent. This allows your notebook computer to be locked to a table leg or other fixed object, yet it can be removed for mobile use.
