2010-11 Season - Paustian leads Vikings in CCIW tournament

NAPERVILLE, Illinois - Sophomore Jeff Paustian (Geneva HS, Geneva, Ill.) was the low scorer for Augustana at the first day of the 2011 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin men's golf championship. The first two days of the event will be held today (Friday, April 15) and tomorrow (Saturday, April 16) at Cress Creek Golf Course in Naperville, Illinois.
Paustian shot an 85 (13 over par) and finds himself tied for 15th place. Nick Guido of North Central is the leader after the first of what will be four rounds with a four over par 76. Miserable weather conditions accounted for some high scores.
Junior Jordan Henry (Erie HS, Erie, Ill.) was the next Augustana finisher with an 86, which left him tied for 18th place. Senior Ted Keopple (Geneseo HS, Geneseo, Ill.) shot an 87 and is in 23rd place. Senior Phil Litchfield (Benet Academy, Darien, Ill.) had a 91 and is in 36th place and senior Cole Wells came home with a 100 and is 39th.
Wheaton leads the team standings with a 324 while Carthage is second at 327. Millikin (328), North Central (335), Illinois Wesleyan (338), North Park (338), Augustana (349) and Elmhurst (353) rounded out the field.
