Roxio Creator 8 Suite
Burning Video Files to a DVD for a DVD Player
Before you start:
1) Make sure that the video files that you have are in the correct format (i.e. .mpg). If the file that you have downloaded is a .zip, make sure to unzip the folder before you start by right clicking on the file and choosing “Extract All…”
2) Make sure that the DVD you have is a "DVD-R" so that it can be played in an average DVD player
3) Make sure that your desktop has a DVD burner (Go to My Computer and check to make sure that the DVD player says "DVD R" or "DVD RW")
4) Make sure that your desktop has Roxio 8 installed
Instructions:
1) Open Roxio Creator 8
2) When the Welcome screen opens, click on the “Create DVD” button on the right hand side of the window

3) The Video Wave window will open up; to insert the video clip into the DVD Menu, click on “Add New Movie” in the left hand pane

4) Navigate to where the file is on your computer

5) Select it and click “Open”
6) Repeat steps 3-5 until all the clips you want on your DVD are included in the DVD menu
Note: As you are dropping video clips into the DVD menu, you should pay attention to the bar at the bottom of the screen. The bar represents how much space is left in the DVD, so if it is full, there is no more room.
