1950

Ralph Brodd is director of the Kentucky Argonne Battery Manufacturing Research and Development Center, Lexington.

1951

Ken Larkin was granted the title of pastor emeritus by Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, Phoenix, Ariz., where he served as pastor for 20 years.

Marilyn Anderson Sundin has been involved in community theater for 40 years, directing one play a year and acting in another. This past year she directed the Cole Porter musical, Anything Goes. She continues to work as an administrative assistant at Denison University, Granville, Ohio.

1954

Maj-Britt Hilstrom's artistís book, Pax Requis (2002), has been accepted into the print collection of the U.S. Library of Congress, while her poster (1993) commissioned for the Berkeley Public Library was accepted into the poster collection.

1956

David Baker, retired pastor, serves as the executive director of the Augustana Heritage Association.

1964

Linnea Gustafson Brugman retired from the Muskegon (Mich.) Area District Library after 25 years.

Sharon Nahrgang Wadle and her husband, Mike, spent three months in Tanzania as Mwangaza volunteers. Mwangaza Education for Partnership is a grassroots faith-based union of dioceses of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania and their companion synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

1965

Carl Landahl is president of Enertrex Corporation, Crestwood, Ill.

1967

Anna Pearson Johnson collaborated with four others in writing The Museum Educator's Manual: Educators Share Successful Techniques, published last year by AltaMira Press.

1968

Lynn Kusy was named Airport Executive of the Year by the Southwest Chapter of American Association of Airport Executives. He is executive director of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

1969

Laura Monson MacKenzie spent five months in 2009 in Baghdad, Iraq, as an English language training advisor, helping test and train potential Iraqi English instructors. She is chief of general English instruction and curriculum for the Defense Language Institute English Language Center at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

1973

Paul Anderson was named to the board of directors of the Chuckanut Conservancy, an environmental advocacy organization in Bellingham, Wash.

David Johnston is executive and artistic director for the Maui Academy of Performing Arts, Wailuku, Hawaii.

Katherine Wilson Wollburg works for the State of Washington Department of Health as a health services consultant and Vaccines for Children program coordinator.

1977

Daniel Gottschling of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, Wash., was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

David Stenberg is teaching math at Union School, Port-au-Prince, Haiti, for the 2010-11 school year.

1978

John Boettcher is a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Centennial, Colo.

1979

Kimberly MacAskill Schweitzer is the major gifts development associate for RAMP, an independent living center for people with disabilities in Rockford, Ill.

1980

Jeffrey Engholm serves as program director at Green Lake Lutheran Ministries, Spicer, Minn.

Curtis Lawrence was promoted to associate professor in the journalism department at Columbia College, Chicago.

Terry Scott is chief operating officer/chief communications officer at Uhlmann Price Securities, Chicago.

1981

David Radloff was promoted to vice president and chief financial officer at Hutchinson Technology Inc., Hutchinson, Minn.

1982

Laura Poduch married Grant Parcells on April 10, 2010.

1983

Curt Malthouse, audit project manager for the U.S. Department of Defense Inspector General, has been working as a professional staff member on detail to the Commission on Wartime Contracting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

1984

Lincoln Bode is general manager-Americas for Polychroic USA.

Carolyn Kubala O'Neill married Daniel Leyva on February 13, 2010.

Mary Runkle Rapp had twins, Adam Michael and Isabella Mary, on July 9, 2010 (Michael).

1986

Glen Brown is a sales associate at Nordstrom, Schaumburg, Ill.

Richard Hopf received the Amador award, the highest recognition given to members of Kiwanis clubs. A member of the Evanston, Ill., club, Richard organized a fund-raising program to reduce instances of iodine deficiency disorder; the club has raised nearly $50,000 since its inception.

1987

Carlyne Adams married Paul Mabry on April 6, 2010. She is a graduate student at Capella University.

David Piotter adopted Reauna, 7, Santiauna, 6, and Kentin, 3 (Michelle; Terence, 21, Matthew, 15, Jason, 12). David is director of sourcing strategies & value analysis for Aurora Health Care, Milwaukee, Wis.

1988

David Scott had a son, Ean Snyder, on February 15, 2010 (Amy; Eli, 8, Ethan, 6).
