General Scholarship Application Procedure
Audition Dates:
- January 19, 2013 (application due 1/1/13)
- January 26, 2012 (application due 1/1/13) All auditioning on Jan. 26 must register for the Departmental Open House in addition to completing the audition application. Non-music majors can audition and compete for scholarship in their major field. Music majors audition for general music scholarships and attend a presentation in addition to other Departmental Open House events.

- March 9, 2013 (application due 2/9/13)
Application: The 2013 application deadline has passed.
Notification: Applicants will receive detailed information by email concerning their audition time approximately two weeks before the audition. Accompanists will be provided for vocal auditions only. Audition materials should follow the guidelines below.
Instrumentalists: One movement of a suite, sonata, or concerto of your choice, as well as a work in a contrasting style, no more than 8 minutes total. An etude may be substituted for one of the above. Sightreading will be required, scales may be required. You may perform without accompaniment or provide your own accompanist.
Vocalists: Two songs of your choice in contrasting style, preferably one in a foreign language, no more than 6 minutes total. Songs should be in a style appropriate for contests and should be memorized. A short vocal exercise and sightreading also will be required. An accompanist will be provided.
