Summer Language Study
Augustana College offers strong language programs in 8 languages, and its mission to help students develop both linguistic and cultural competency is strengthened through international programs designed to provide immersion experiences to students of French, German, Spanish and Swedish during the summer. Students who are serious about language study, particularly those who have chosen to engage in a major or minor in one of these languages, are strongly encouraged to participate in one of Augustana's summer language immersion programs.
- Summer French in Dijon: A six week program includes coursework at the University of Burgundy. Open to students at the intermediate (200) or advanced (300) levels.
- Summer German in Eichstatt: A four week program of coursework at Catholic University in Eichstatt for students at the intermediate (200) or advanced (300) levels.
- Summer Spanish in the Andes: Five and ten week programs in Cuenca, Ecuador for students at all levels of Spanish from 101 through 400 level electives.
- Summer Swedish in Grebbestad: A six week program in Sweden for students at all levels of Swedish from 101 through 400 level electives.
