French

The French department at Augustana provides a full range of classes for students at all levels of ability and preparation in French. Beginning courses give students basic instruction and practice in the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing the language. The intermediate classes build on the basics with an integrated program of grammar review and literary and cultural readings, while upper-level courses involve advanced work in French literature, culture and civilization and grammar and translation.
