The pleasures and challenges of English studies grow with your own growth, both accompanying and assisting it, throughout your life. It's our goal to nurture that growth.

If you're like most of our students, you'll have fun with your English major. In addition to course work, extra-curricular activities such as After Hours Poetry and Fiction; Saga, the student-edited literary and art magazine, and the student newspaper Observer, give you chances to develop skills outside your class assignments. And you'll meet other students and faculty who care about the things that matter to you
