2010-11 Season - Reppy leads Augustana men at Grinnell

Sophomore Chris Greaves grabbed individual fourth and sixth place finishes Saturday at the Grinnell Invitational.

GRINNELL, Iowa - Freshman Justin Reppy (Oswego HS, Oswego, Ill.) recorded a third place finish in the 1650 freestyle, a fourth-place performance in the 200 freestyle and swam a leg on the Vikings' third-place 400 freestyle relay Saturday at the Grinnell Invitational. Reppy's effort helped Augustana to a fourth-place finish in the seven-team field.

 Reppy swam a 17:25.22 to take third in the 1650 freestyle while freshman Austin Zarbuck (Urbana HS, Urbana, Ill.) finished ninth in 18:07.12.

 Reppy led a contingent of three Vikings taking fourth, sixth and eighth places in the 200 freestyle. He finished in 1:49.88 while freshman Daniel Hinck (Harlem HS, Loves Park, Ill.) and sophomore Chris Greaves (Morris HS, Morris, Ill.) were sixth and eighth, respectively, with times of 1:50.95 and 1:53.75. Zarbuck was 12th in 1:52.92.

 Greaves, Reppy, Zarbuck and Hinck teamed up to claim third place in the 400 freestyle relay, finishing in a time of 3:20.60. Greaves also garnered a fourth-place finish in the 200 backstroke with a clocking of 2:07.30.

 Hinck took eighth in the 50 freestyle in :23.03 while junior Charles Vogt was 14th in :23.32. Hengst finished 15th in the 100 breaststroke and 16th in the 400 individual medley, swimming times of 1:09.06 and 4:59.27, respectively. Freshman Ryan Chaney (Pleasant Valley HS, Bettendorf, Iowa) was 20th in the 400 IM in a time of 5:24.01.

 Augustana also got an 11th-place finish from its 200 medley relay team. Hengst, Greaves, Reppy and Hinck combined to swim a 1:46.54.
