2010-11 Season - Reppy leads Vikings in first day at Grinnell Invitational

Freshman Justin Reppy took second in the 200 butterfly and fourth in the 500 freestyle at the first day of competition at the Grinnell Invitational.

Freshman Justin Reppy (Oswego HS, Oswego, Ill.) turned in the best individual performances for Augustana at the first day of the Grinnell Invitational on Friday, January 21 in Grinnell, Iowa. Reppy finished second in the 200 butterfly (2:02.87) and took fourth in the 500 freestyle (4:56.13) as well as swimming on two place winning relay teams.

The Vikings scored 247.5 points and are currently in fourth place in the team standings. Gustavus Adolphus leads with 647.5 points.

Reppy joined sophomore Chris Greaves (Morris HS, Morris, Ill.), freshman Daniel Hinck (Harlem HS, Loves Park, Ill.) and freshman Austin Zarbuck (Urbana HS, Urbana, Ill.) to take third in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:21.53. In the 200 freestyle relay he combined with Greaves, junior Charles Vogt (Oak Park-River Forest HS, Oak Park, Ill.) and Hinck to finish fourth in 1:31.36.

Greaves took third in the 200 butterfly in 2:05.17 and 10th in the 500 freestyle in 5:08.80. Hinck was sixth in the 500 freestyle (5:02.29) and eighth in the 100 freestyle (:50.69). Zarbuck was ninth in the 500 freestyle (5:07.57) and 14th in the 100 freestyle (:51.65).

The 400 medley relay of freshman Jasen Hengst (Bettendorf HS, Bettendorf, Iowa), freshman Ryan Chaney (Pleasant Valley HS, Bettendorf, Iowa), Zarbuck and Vogt took 13th in 4:06.81.
