Piper Mead, '04 is a marketing department account executive with the Chicago Cubs. She began her sports marketing career in 2005 with the Peoria Chiefs, the Chicago Cubs Single A affiliate, as the events and entertainment manager. Two years later, Piper interned with the marketing department of the Chicago Cubs. Her duties included assisting in the booking of the 7th inning stretch entertainment, handling Cubs family and player tickets, and helping with community programs at Wrigley Field. At the conclusion of her internship, she accepted the role of account executive. Piper secures new advertising partners while providing service to all current and potential sponsors. She is looking forward to her fourth season with her beloved Chicago Cubs.
Piper majored in speech communication and minored in political science and sociology at Augustana. She worked for the college's Office of Admissions following graduation to recruit high school students in the Chicago area. She moved to Chicago in the fall of 2005 where she currently resides.
