2010-11 Season - Hinck wins two individual events at IWU Invite

Freshman Daniel Hinck won the 50 and 200 freestyle at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, November 20 in Bloomington, Illinois. He was also fourth in the 100 freestyle to help Augustana place third in the team standings.

Freshman Daniel Hinck (Harlem HS, Loves Park, Ill.) won a pair of events to lead Augustana to a third place finish at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, November 20 in Bloomington, Illinois. Hinck won the 50 freestyle in :22.98 and the 200 freestyle in 1:51.09 and was fourth in the 100 freestyle with a time of :51.00.

He also anchored the 200 freestyle relay team to a second place finish with a time of 1:31.30. He was joined on 200 freestyle relay by sophomore Chris Greaves (Morris HS, Morris, Ill.), junior Charles Vogt (Oak Park-River Forest HS, Oak Park, Ill.) and freshman Justin Reppy (Oswego HS, Oswego, Ill.).

Reppy placed second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:08.16, third in the 100 butterfly in :57.10 and fourth in the 200 freestyle in 1:53.57. Greaves was second in the 100 freestyle in :50.51, third in the 200 freestyle in 1:52.87 and fourth in the 100 backstroke in :59.54.

Jasen Hengst (Bettendorf HS, Bettendorf, Iowa) took third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.31. He was seventh in the 200 individual medley (2:18.50) and seventh in the 100 butterfly (1:05.48). Freshman Austin Zarbuck (Urbana HS, Urbana, Ill.) finished fourth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:18.93 and was fifth in the 100 butterfly in 1:00.94.

Freshman Ryan Chaney (Pleasant Valley HS, Bettendorf, Iowa) took sixth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:12.52. Charles Vogt was seventh in the 50 freestyle in :23.84.

The 200 medley relay of Zarbuck, Hengst, junior Denny Wind (Downers Grove North HS, Downers Grove, Ill.) and sophomore Harrison Vogt (Oak Park-River Forest HS, Oak Park, Ill.) took fifth in 1:54.31.
