2010-11 Season - Vikings drop dual meet to Monmouth

Molly Clennon won the 500 freestyle in the Vikings' 108-91 loss at Monmouth on Friday, November 19. Clennon was also second in the 200 freestyle and swam on the second place 200 freestyle relay team.

Freshman Hillary Ferguson (Waubonsie Valley HS, Naperville, Ill.) won a pair of individual events but it was not enough as Augustana fell to Monmouth 108-91 on Friday, November 19 in Monmouth. Ferguson won the 50 freestyle in :26.27 and the 100 butterfly in :58.10.

Sophomore Emily Timmons (West Aurora HS, Aurora, Ill.) won the 200 individual medley in 2:25.52 and sophomore Molly Clennon (Benet Academy, Naperville, Ill.) took the 500 freestyle in 5:45.13.

Ferguson and Clennon teamed with sophomore Alexandra Piper (Coal City HS, Coal City, Ill.) and sophomore Emma Regnier (Grayslake North HS, Lake Villa, Ill.) to place second in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:48.58. The 200 medley relay unit of sophomore Mary Naughton (Fremont HS, Fremont, Neb.), Timmons, freshman Danna Jensen (Dundee-Crown HS, Algonquin, Ill.) and sophomore Hollyann Kabbe (Fenton HS, Bensenville, Ill.) took second in 2:07.63.

Clennon placed second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:07.40 and Regnier was second in the 200 butterfly in 2:34.10. Freshman Elizabeth O’Hara (Westosha Central HS, Salem, Wis.) was second in both the 1000 freestyle (12:33.24) and 200 breaststroke (2:46.39). Piper finished second in the 50 freestyle in :27.19. Junior Colleen Mans (Robinsdale Cooper HS, New Hope, Minn.) took third in the 1000 freestyle (13:03.35) and 200 backstroke (2:39.15) and Regnier was third in the 200 individual medley (2:27.17). Regnier also fashioned a fourth place finish in the 200 freestyle (2:11.58) while Naughton was fourth in the 100 butterfly (1:02.65).

Kabbe was fourth in the 50 freestyle (:29.26) and fifth in the 100 butterfly (1:04.26). Freshman Danielle Harrington (Belvidere North HS, Belvidere, Ill.) finished fourth in the 200 backstroke in 2:53.63. Timmons was fourth in the 200 breaststroke (2:49.52) and Piper was fifth in the same event (3:04.55). O’Hara placed fifth in the 200 individual medley (2:33.92) and freshman Ariana Nelson (Resurrection HS, Chicago, Ill.) was fifth in the 1000 freestyle (14:21.36).
