Celebration of Faculty Scholarship and Teaching

During our annual Celebration of Faculty Scholarship and Teaching, the Tredway Library highlights Augustana's most recent faculty publications, performances, presentations and teaching innovations. These are added to our Faculty Collection, housed on the main floor and includes works since 2002. 

Each year at the reception, one or two faculty members speak informally about their experience of linking scholarship to teaching or about recent teaching approaches they have found to be successful-or at least enlightening! This year, Dr. Ellen Hay will lead a discussion on "Making Learning Visible," in anticipation of a conference on sharing evidence of student learning, scheduled for April 30, 2011 at Augustana.

Please join us for good food--the usual Friday Conversation refreshments--despite that we will be in the library--recognition of faculty scholarship and teaching, and a lively discussion of teaching strategies and evaluation. Refreshments begin at 3:30 p.m., presentation and discussion at 4:00 p.m.
