The Human Resources staff is available by phone or email as well as in person -- don't hesitate to contact us. The office is on the second floor of Sorensen Hall at the corner of 7th Ave. and 38th St., Rock Island, Ill.
The Human Resources department at Augustana:
- Manages and oversees the hiring process
- Coordinates benefits enrollment and administration
- Works with the payroll staff to provide data to ensure employees are paid correctly
- Creates and maintains the policies and procedures of the college, working with managers and employees to handle employee relations issues
- Coordinates performance appraisals and employee development needs
- Acts as a resource for the campus community for HR-related issues
- Compliance services including new employee paperwork, EEO issues, ADA accommodations, tracking of FMLA leave, COBRA notifications, and coordination of benefits for worker's compensation claims.
