Intervarsity Christian Fellowship
The purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God’s word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture, and God’s purposes in the world.
Our goal is to be a witnessing community that answer to God and to whom God Answers!
We are a mostly student run group looking to spread the gospel of Jesus and his grace. We have large group meetings once a week at 7:00 PM on Tuesdays, in the Westerlin Lounge(right across from the cafeteria). This meeting usually has live worship led by one of our student leaders and a discussion. The discussion can be on anything from a book of the bible, to a video we watch during large group.
In addition to this Large Group Meeting, we have student led small groups at various points during the week: There is a Men's accountability group that meets Saturdays @ 10:00 AM in the Seminary loft led by Tyler Hernandez and Michael Gerber. There also is an exclusively female bible study led by Caitlin Lawler on Friday Evenings. In addition we have a prayer group that meets on Saturdays around 11:30AM in the Hammarsjkold Room
As a group we also organize some service events throughout the year led by various member of Intervarsity. These events serve people as Jesus would in the modern world. Information on service events is given out at Large Group Meetings or by Email. We additionally do Joint events with Young Life And the Harvest Bible Small Group occasionally such as Campus-wide Worship events. We support Truth at The Track and Fields of Faith As well as other Campus Ministries Events.
